SEC Says Nothing To Hide, Refuses FOIA; 'lil GW Busted Again?

A quick one - late Friday, the WSJ broke an article by Judith Burns, who is one of the few good reporters working the business beat. It's topic was the SEC's denials of any wrongdoing in the Aguirre matter....even as it denied Aguirre's requests for the material he says will show they are guilty of aiding in a cover-up, and of obstruction of justice.
Kind of funny.
"We didn't obstruct justice. But we will obstruct this request, and we have been obstructing the Senate's investigation."
Can anyone spot the hypocrisy?
My favorite quote:
"According to the SEC, Aguirre's supervisor did say that Mack's lawyer had "juice," but the agency denied any discussion about Mack's "political clout." It concedes that Mack wasn't subpoenaed to testify in the summer of 2005, but rejected Aguirre's claims that senior SEC enforcement officials blocked the investigation and that his supervisors directed a cover-up about his sudden firing."
Huh. So, when Aguirre said he needed to go after Mack, his boss denied the request, citing that Mack's attorney had juice...what do you suppose that meant, and what was the relevance? That the lawyer in question was "juicy?" Drank too much? Was "sweeeet?" Resembled an over-ripe fruit of some sort? Is the spitting image of O.J.?
When does this agency get embarrassed by its shameful behavior? I mean, really? When will Congress name a special prosecutor and get to the bottom of the seemingly endless misbehavior?
"Juice."
Some things are priceless.

Apparently forgettable blogger and hack author 'lilGW has been caught red handed again. Remember a month or two ago, when he got caught with his pants down?
Probably not. No matter. He has been caught doing the pretending to be multiple posters thing, AGAIN, including impersonating a guest blogger here.

I just find it amusing how many times this chump has been caught red handed. This is the big critic of the Easter Bunny, and Byrne, and the entire market reform movement.
Anyone surprised at what scumbags are our adversaries? Although it is fun to watch him get unraveled by folks who apparently follow what he does (predictably shoddily, I might add), I have to confess it is difficult for me to care much.

Folks, read the NCANS letter to the SEC and then email me or fax your signature and contact info in support of it at 702 946-0934. We are coming down to the wire now, and I'd really like some more sigs. We are currently at around 350, and 500 has a nice ring to it. So please, get busy, and get the word out.
