Ameritrade had always sent my certs either certified or registered mail. I asked for a tracking number to see where mine were and to my dismay this is their response:
Dear **********:
Thank you for contacting us today concerning your shares.
The stock certificates are being mailed via first class mail. We do not have a tracking number which can be supplied.
If you have further concerns or inquiries, please reply to this message.

Well, after getting that email yesterday, I did get my cert. today via certified mail with a tracking number. DW
