Friends, Romans, and CMKXers, lend me a beer, I come to bury my admin badge, not to praise it.
After conferring with our board's founder and Admin-in-Chief Kranker, I have offered my resignation as admin on this board, which he has accepted with grace and the gentle kindness he's given the board and staff here since he extended the position to me nine years ago. To him I offer my sincere thanks for his unwaivering support of his staff, and the opportunity to serve the community in this capacity.
It has been an interesting journey with you all, and enjoyed many friendships because of it. I've learned a lot about people, investing, and putting codes into posts that make things happen the way I would like. I've also learned a great deal about patience, the value of kindness and understanding, and how the best way to influence a board's path is with listening skills instead of a button on a screen. To that end, I thank all of you as well.
I will still be around as a general member and am happy to contribute, one CMKXer in a sea of CMKXers...and one that still hopes the journey ends well for every shareholder, even those I have disagreed with in the past.
Steady as she goes, and straight on 'til morning...
Take off your shoes and slide into your new recliner, with that remote control we promised.
Best regards, -kranker
There was a pack of us that came ashore together and we were worried about you because you're arrival was delayed by rough waters. Fortunately, you had found a piece of drift wood to hold onto and you eventually made it here safely.
It has been over ten years since we began this journey with tens of thousands of our fellow human beings. Chasing a dream, hoping to make things better for our families, friends, and each other here on these tiny boards on little planet earth.
We congregate on these forums with largely common goals. Sometimes we completely forget we do have similar goals and then we go "CMKX Wild" on each other. Just like a traditional family, we can lose sight of the big picture and we argue over trivial things from time to time.
Being human, we are constantly trying to convince people that our way of thinking is the right way and we often become irrational and ugly toward each other. You have a gift that enables you to maintain your composure and be respectful to others even during the most volatile circumstances. This is just one of your qualities that I have admired and tried to learn from over these many years.
We all started this journey in a different time. Some of us began the journey with a goal to be rich. Some of us had children along the way, or our children grew older and moved away.
Ten years ago, I'm certain that many of us didn't realize there's more important things in life than how much money we have as individuals. Many of our friends, family, and fellow shareholders are no longer with us here on earth and that has a tendency to wake us up to what really matters.
Many reasonable people will say these forums are a waste of time and we are worse for it. I can understand that way of thinking, but there are many reasons people communicate on these boards and there is value extracted by each of us in our own special way.
No matter what though, we all learn from each other. Whether a fellow shareholder, a friend, or loved one, we carry everything we learn from each other around with us and it is forever a part of us.
C-Dub - All this time, through thick and thin, you have continued to care about and be respectful of all people. As a staff member here on this board, you've had an additional responsibility to ensure people are not disrespectful to each other and you've stayed on course in the roughest waters.
I am honored to have sailed this sea with your steady guidance and will forever be appreciative of your contributions to our fellow shareholders, and as my friend.

It's been a few years since I resigned from the staff team. Unfortunately, our pet project has not produced the fruit we all hoped it would by now...and it is now time for this old guy to move on from this adventure.
I thank Kranker for setting up this board, and leading us skillfully through some interesting times. I also thank our membership for their support, contributions, and helping each other in the post-CMKX days.
I wish the best for all CMKXers, and perhaps if one day this adventure pays off for us I'd like to meet as many shareholders as I can...but until then, I'll sit reflectively at water's edge watching the morning mist, a mug of my favorite beverage in one hand, my lovely wife in the other...and I'll think well of you all.

Best of luck to you C-Dub, we have had our share of conversations, disagreements and some common ground. I'm waiting for the conclusion of this saga, which is IMO proof that we were scammed. Drop me a PM when you get a chance, some things to chat about not related to this "investment" 😂
